FYI, There is a statement from Mufti Waheed clarifying his participation (i.e., he didn't know what he was getting into) on a twitter thread. While I still disagree with the general principle of participating in such an event due to all the other participants anyway, I still feel the clarification should be mentioned in this article for fairness.
